It'll be our secret. It would weigh on my conscious far too much if someone were to die because of me. I simply don't know how I could go on with the guilt. [Besides it'd ruin her image if she didn't become distraught at the darker side of humanity and politics. No, she'd much prefer to act like the world was roses and sunshine; it typically helped people look down on her.]

Now, tell me, if you please, is it customary for there to be a king and a queen?

Indeed. The queen represents the crown's alliance to a favored house. She's the means toward heirs. A king must always have at least one queen to further the line.

[She tilts her head, considering that] I suppose if that's what works. My country isn't quite the opposite, but the empress is the highest power and typically doesn't marry.

I will have to invite you king and queen to visit some time. No doubt the changes would shock them. They already do not take me very seriously, even I could see that much. [She sighs lightly, resigned] If I were older it would be little different, I think.

You shouldn't fret, Your Grace. If it puts your heart at ease, King Robert is not a man known for taking anyone seriously.

[At least, not unless they're a Targaryen. He wouldn't hesitate to put to the sword even a woman or child from that house.]
